Educational visit g. Dobele (Latvia)

A group of Belarusian farmers and rural entrepreneurs in Minsk and Grodno regions 4-5 October 2019 year participated in an educational visit to the g. Dobele (Latvia).

The event was held within the framework of ENI-LLB-1-117 «Green Agriculture without borders" Cross Border Cooperation Program Latvia-Lithuania-Belarus ENPI on 2014-2020 gg., which is funded by the European Union.

During the visit, the participants visited the entrepreneurs in rural areas, that produce "green" agricultural products and took part in the traditional "apple festival" in g.Dobele. At the international festival they presented the guests with samples of their products festival. The trip allowed participants to visit from Belarus to get acquainted with the experience of doing business in rural areas in Latvia, exchange opinions and experiences with entrepreneurs in Latvia and Lithuania, establish new contacts.

Visiting mushroom farm “Trubenieki”. Farm “Trubenieki” It is the largest manufacturer in Latvia shiitake mushrooms. The farm grows high-quality mushrooms all year round, and provides them to tourists, who visit the farm, and supplies to prestigious restaurants and shops in Latvia.

Visiting "Mint House", hostess whose Lolitas Duge`s. Here guests will learn about the more, than 20 different types of mint, try different kinds of mint tea and a variety of mint products.

Seen in Tervete entrepreneur, whose family produces wine Tērvete. Wines «Tervete» – This house wine, made of Latvian fruits and berries. Therefore, the main consumers of this beverage Latvian residents and tourists.

"Apple Festival" in Dobele.

The visit was prepared by the Local Sustainable Development Fund "Innovation for Regions", together with the project partners.

The project is implemented in close cooperation with three partners - Dobele center of adult education and business support (Latvia), Panevezheskim Business Advisory Center (Lithuania) Local and Sustainable Development Fund "Innovation for Regions", Minsk district (Belarus). The project aims to support the business development tools in rural cross-border regions, promote innovative employment opportunities in green agriculture.
