The local economy (TG): Olga Adamovna, tell me, you are welcome, about your public association? What are the goals of the merger, what tasks does it solve?

Olga Dovzhik (FROM): AT 2009 year, enthusiasts and lovers of rabbit husbandry in Belarus united and registered the “Belarusian Public Association of Rabbit Breeders and Owners of Private Farming” (BOOK and LPH owners).

The main goal of our association is to provide assistance and assistance to members of the BOOK and private household in the implementation of common legitimate interests and the protection of their rights in the implementation of joint development activities, improving, breeding and use in personal farms of thoroughbred rabbits, pedigree bird, other farm animals and varietal plants.

The objectives of BOOK and LPH are the promotion of livestock, poultry farming, gardening and crop production in personal subsidiary plots of citizens; raising the level of breeders, breeders and experts in the assessment of pedigree animals and plant varieties; improving the quality of livestock of thoroughbred rabbits and birds; selection work and others.

TG: Who is part of our association? What directions do your members work in??

FROM: In our association, more 40 farms from all over Belarus.

Each has its own direction - rabbit breeding, poultry farming, growing plants and fruits and vegetables: young pedigree rabbits and birds, fresh rabbit and poultry meat and derivatives thereof (smoked meats, tushenka), grape seedlings, strawberry seedlings, fruit and berry bushes, herbal teas, berry and fruit, dried berries and fruits.

Members of a public association are residents of the countryside, who have their own farm.

To help members of the society, we organize and conduct various agricultural exhibitions and fairs to sell our products..

TG: Olga Adamovna, what are your plans for?

FROM: The association plans to create healthy competition and demand for manufactured products in private household plots. Grow purebred animals and hold exhibitions of the achievements of our members of the society with the involvement of international experts to evaluate.
